    1. Rathi is an important milch breed of indigenous breed of cattle found in the arid of Rajasthan.
    2. Rathi cattle are thought to have evolved from intermixing of sahiwal, Red Sindhi and Tharparkar breeds with a preponderance of sahiwal blood.
    3. The animals are usually brown with white and black with white patches all over the body.
    4. Rathi cows are efficient and good milkers.
    5. The cows on an average produce 1560 kilo grams of milk.
    6.The lactation milk yield ranges from 1062 to 2810 Kg.
    7.Selected cows have produced around 4800 Kg at farmer’s doorstep.
